Brennan's Kilteel Inn

Brennan's Kilteel Inn is a two storey, ivy clad, 100 year old building.  It is olde world with two open fires, tiled floor and pitch pine back bar and furnishings.  An old traditional pub in all it's glory!  It is full of antiques, a haunted room and endless tales of by gone times

An Brog

An Brog opened its doors in 1992 and since then has grown and expanded into Cork’s leading indie alternative bar. It's open till 2am every night and as always admission is free. The DJ's play a mix of classic indie rock and up to the minute tunes which the punters love. An Brog also indulges those who want to see some live gigs all of which have been free since 1992. Bands to have graced our stage have included Boss Volenti, The Chalets, Duke Special, The Frank and Walters The Coronas, The Blizzards, Delorentos, Fight Like Apes, Electric Eel Shock (Japan) and most local indie/rock bands.

Such bands included Rulers of the Planet, Rest, Wiggle, and 10past7. Locals have seen Circus Cat, When Good Pets Go Bad and a host of hot new talent play recently - keeping to the Brog's policy of supporting new bands. A host of well known faces have also popped in for a pint or six. Tommy Tiernan, Glen Hansard, Cillian Murphy, Johnathan Rhys Myers, Vince Vaughan, Michael Madsen & Vinnie Jones have all popped up at the bar at some stage. Although not on the same night! So why not pop by if your in the area and say hello.

Hugh Lynch's Bar

The property on Kilbride Street, known today as Hugh Lynch’s, has been operating as a public house since the early 1800’s. In the early 1900’s it was bought by the Williams Group, founders of the D.E. Williams Distillery, and run as a public bar and grocery, along with many other outlets in the Irish Midlands, from which they sold their growing whiskey brand “Tullamore Dew”.

Hugh Lynch took over the pub in the 1960’s and the front bar remains largely unchanged ever since. The Premises went through a major renovation in 2008 adding a stylish new Bar downstairs and a function room upstairs. It is ideal for a private party and is also used for the live gigs. In 2010 an additional party room “ROUND” in the adjoining premises.

The Pub stocks over 50 Irish whiskeys, each one tagged with a short description. The staff will be more than happy for you to examine the bottles before choosing which one you want to taste, or alternatively you can opt for one of the Tasting packages on offer.

Hugh Lynch’s attracts a mix of older and younger clients. The Munster Bar, Tralee, was opened in 1875 and derived its name from its proximity to the Ballymullen Army Barracks which was home to the "Munster Fusiliers" Brigade of the British Army.
