One of Ireland's oldest unchanged Bar's. McCarthy's is currently run by the Great, Great, Great Grandson of the founder, Michael McCarthy. McCarthy's has featured in the media on RTE, C4, BBC, Good Morning America and the Food Channel in the USA, Network 7 in Australia and recently starred in the film "Stella Day's" starring American actor Martin Sheen.

McCarthy's is situated in the Medieval Town of Fethard (regarded as Ireland's most important Walled Town after Derry). Fethard is also the home of Coolmore Stud, the World's largest and most successful horse breeding business. We are only 8 miles from the Rock of Cashel and 2 miles from the famous Slievenamon (the mountain of the women). We are only a few miles from countless Race Tracks and Golf Courses.
