"Great food and lovely atmosphere"

We had dinner at this pub on a cold Sunday evening in January. When we walked in there was a lovely warm atmosphere. There was a fire on and the lights were not too bright nor too dark as in some old themed pubs. I ordered a spicy chicken salad, my children ordered sausages and chips and steak and chips. The portions are very generous. The kids felt they received a proper portion not a tiny childrens portion and they loved the fries..thick cut and crunchy. As for my salad the flavours were beautiful. There was a lovely kick from the chicken and the salad was fresh and crunchy with lots of tomato and cucumber. The dressing was also very tasty and complimented the spicy chicken. All in all a very pleasant experience
