About Us

First and foremost Ruairis Bar & Cafe is a Family run business. You are always guaranteed a family member present in the bar at all times. It is our home and we welcome you into it. We pride ourselves on hygiene, quality and excellent customer service and relations. We are always grateful to hear feedback be it positive or negativebecause this ensures that we are always looking to improve our service offering to you, the valued customer.

Ruairis Bar & Cafe is centrally located in The Square, Tralee, which has an authentic European feel, where dining can be Al Fresco if you so wish. It is one of the largest pedestrianised areas of any town in Ireland. We are within minutes walk of the Bus & Rail Station. Kerry Airport is a mere 10km from Ruairis Bar & Cafe.

Ruairis Bar & Cafe is an ideal place to take a rest or watch the world go by. Tralee boasts the best of retail therapy,with all major retailers based here along with some wonderful Boutique shops, and of course the night life at Ruairis Bar & Cafe is a welcome respite at the end of a day spending!

We are home to Tralee No.1 Celtic Supporters Club, which has a massive following and weekends are always full of banter between the different supporters who enjoy watching there favourite team LIVE on our Big Screen and many Flat Screen Tvs.

Bar Food is served throughout the day. Ruairis Bar & Cafe serves light lunches such as, panini's, sandwiches, salads, soups. We also serve a large variety of Teas & Coffees, which can be enjoyed al fresco on The Square, or inside on our modern furnishings.

Local Attractions

Local attractions include the Blennerville Windmill; the Tralee-Dingle Steam Railway; The Ashe Memorial Hall (home to the Geraldine Experience & is The County Museum); and the Aqua Dome, a must for every family.

The Town Park occupies a massive proportion of the town which is home of The Rose Of Tralee(August 21-August 26th).

For beach activities Ruairis Bar & Cafe is a few miles from some of the most fabulous blue flag beaches in Ireland such as Barrow, Banna and Ballyheigue, Ballybunion, Derrymore, Castlecregory, which are very popular with wind and kite surfers.

Siamsa Tire, the national folk theatre, is based in Tralee.

For golfing, Ruairis Bar & Cafe is within easy access of Barrow (Tralee Golf Club), Dingle, Ballybunion, Killarney and Castlegregory, to mention but a few.

Horse riding facilities are available within 1km.

"great food & drink"

Loved this modern pub with its tasty menu. Great selection of beverages served by Brian who I might add is a very well informed guy on the what to do not do in Tralee. If you are a sports fan this is your spot .
